1. That Minnesota is in the Sub-Arctic region and not in the temperate region
2. That most trees here are deciduous and not coniferous hence they are all botak le!! haha Actually gt more, we applied some Geog concepts and some Chemistry concepts and alot of others manz.. Saw Wal-Mart yesterday also haa..
Today, we woke up earli in the morn and had breakfast that is provided by the hotel. Not say super fanciful lar but i had cornflakes lor ok lar.. Then Kim Huat and Sandy (the friendly and helpful young couple) brought us to Macy's - a departmental store where I bought some socks. Then we also applied for a phone line but the line will only be activated once we have debit account. This means it will only be done around next Friday - 5th of Jan heehee.. Will post my number then...
Then when we were about to exit the departmental store, we saw the 1st signs of snow - oh manz!! How they look like rain drops!!! haha but before we know it.. everything is covered in snow le!!! *see pictpict* omg!! And guess what? The sky turns dark at ard 4+pm!!! So the sky u see there is around 4pm.. haha They said the day will be come longer as winter progresses.. and The time diference between Singapore and Minnesota will be 13 hours in March duno which week Sat night instead of 14 hours!!! Wah!! Dino got such things one lor!! hurhur really increase my knowledge sia!! ;-)
Snow!!! Look at how the snow covered the cars and ground.. it's really freaking white!!! :DAnw, we reached the young couple's hse and there we ate pizza.. super big sized one and walked ard the apartment (like Singapore condo kind) and toured around their club house, inner swimming pool and other facilities. They even had a fireplace in their area... :D nice nice Here are some photos that we took...
And these are my 2 buddies from SMU - Meibin on the left and York on the right... There's one more gurl missing.. Gina, she will be joining us soon :D
Meibin and I marvelled at the snow tracks we created haha can see that we are indeed quite sua ku!! Oops!! *paiseh*
Me posing with the almost barren tree.. haha and York's hands had to make it brurer oh manz!! *faintz* can see the snow in the pict falling.. nice rite.. tell u it's cold lor!! wahaha
